I have wanted a T bucket since I was about 12. The man that lived up the street collected semi-ratty street rods and a few nice ones. He had this metallic Blue Big block T-bucket. Every time I heard it start up I would run to the window to watch it go by. I was hooked!!
I started my "rodding" out with a 1967 Ford Galaxie in high school. It was real smooth, and quite the cruiser. With a great stereo, and a purring 390 big block.
Then I found a lust for the "tri-five" chevy cars and bought a 1956 Chevy 210 post. It was great and I had big plans to give it a dropped, all black with classic flames look. But I was hit by a kid in a new Mustang at the mall and the car never recovered.
So, I got into boats for a while and realized I couldn't drive it to work! All this time I kept my eyes on the "Buckets" learning more about them and waiting for a good one at a decent price to come along.
One day I found it, drove to Arizona on the hottest day possible in a truck with no AC, picked up a trailer and brought her home.
Two weekends later she was on the road and has been there ever since. Dreams do come true.
I have a small group of close friends who all have cars, we cruise the beach and hang out and help "wrench" whenever possible.
My brother's car, a 1960 Chevy Brookwood "chopped off" sits next to mine in the garage (in photo), and my other friend has a 1952 Chevy, and the other a 1939 Dodge also in the photos.
I am always ready and willing to help anyone wrench or add some creative thought to there car. It kept me out of a lot of trouble growing up!!
